Matt Parker
README Driven Development
When you're starting a new gem, what's the first thing you should write? Your tests? NO! Try writing your README first, and then imagine people actually reading it and trying to use your API. There are so many projects out there with confused puny or bloated READMEs (or no README at all). Starting with your README will help you understand your goals, and train your focus on the most important part: your USERS.
