Both companies became top ranked solutions in their respective categories, winning customers such as the Boston Globe, Disney, Microsoft and Nascar before they were sold to Datran Media. In 1998, Joshua co-authored RFC 2369 which today is used by Google, Microsoft and Yahoo.

Joshua has helped many other entrepreneurs get their start-ups off the ground such as Bazaarvoice and Rackspace CloudSites. Other companies in Joshua's portfolio includes BitArmor, Cubit Planning, Famigo Games, Fynanz, Greenling.com, Hourville, Lashback, LiveIntent, ME Television, OneSpot, PetsMD, Small World Labs, Sparefoot, The Grove Wine Bar and Zivity.

Joshua was recently a recipient of a Texas Social Media Award and was recognized as the Austin Information Technologist of the Year in 2009. He holds Computer Science and Information Decision Systems degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and lives in Austin, TX with his wife and two children.
